Context
VR tool is an internal tool, it allows our creative teams to review their spatial design work as a full-scale 3D environment mockup to experience the different parameters and refine things such as ergonomics, customer flows, etc.
Our in-house developed workflow makes possible to port any of our projects to VR in a couple hours for a basic review, granting us a flexible way to iterate at a very low cost using immersive technologies.

Components

Drawing tool
During the VR review you can add or indicate changes you want by drawing in 3D space. You have access to different brush sizes and colours depending on objects you want to represent.


Draw menu & tool

Erase tool
If you are not happy with what you drew in the scene, you can use this tool to erase the 3D drawing. Simply touch the 3D Drawing to see it disappear.

Measure tool
You can measure objects in the virtual 3D space. If objects seem a bit out of scale or not placed correctly you can verify this with this tool.


To help the review process, a set of tools were built for annotations, measurements and taking sreenshots in the virtual place.

Picture tool
All the changes that are made during the VR review can be screenshot with this tool. These pictures are then sent to the 3D designer to modify the scene.
